 On Sep 9, Xiamen Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal Co.,Ltd, the first cooperative project in aviation across the Straits, was formally put into operation. All the cargo terminal business at Xiamen Airport was transferred to the new terminal, which greatly improved its capacity of cargo transporting and transferring.

| On Nov 6, the China-Singapore Airport Management Academy, a JV between XIAGC and Singapore Changi Airport Enterprise PteLtd, was formally established. Singapore Transportation Minister Mr. Yao Zhaodong and CAAC director Yang Yuanyuan jointly officiated at the opening ceremony. The CSAMA is the first JV in China to be certificated on airport management training.

| On May 22, Singapore Cargo Airlines opened the freight flight Singapore-Xiamen-Nanjing-Chicago, marking Xiamen Airport as the pilot airport to operate the fifth freedom rights first opened by CAAC. This flight is also the first cross-continent flight for Xiamen Airport and makes Xiamen the fifth city in China to fly to the US after Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
